well since alot of ppl on these forms call this game "dead" i wanted to know what a active game was currently. i am going to go away for 6 months and all im going to be doing is playing games while im gone due to the fact that im going to be isolated with just food and a laptop on my freetime. i really want an MMO, prefably without monthy fees just "buying the game" fee's. i really love guildwars story and graphics. Aion has great graphics too but never played it due to some bad reviews. So help me out here. FYI im still going to be playing GW just i might have more time now to play games and wanted to start a new one.

This game is not dead. It is 5 years old and most of the forum posters have been playing it for several years. They are running out of things to do so just come on the forum to complain or troll. I have been playing for over four years and still have plenty of things to finish.

Download the trial from http://www.guildwars.com and give it a try. Currently you can get an access key from Steam for $20 which will convert your trial account to a full version. Just use the Add A Key function on your log-in screen.
